When the phone's not ringing.....

Relationships, oddly enough, have the incredible tendency to end suddenly and very poorly, which forces me to ponder their worth. But that's neither here nor there.

There are two "break ups" in particular that I would deem to be the two best "break ups" in this century. Each of them ended with what I consider to be hilarious quotes.

The first relationship ended with the phrase, "When the phone's not ringing, that's me not calling." OUCH.... Well played Frank the Maintenance Man.

The second relationship ended with the slightly less intentional phrase, "No thanks". And yes, credit for that one goes to our very own Seamus O'Callahan.

I feel like my life is one big metaphorical joke..... a joke without a punch line..... or maybe.... maybe I'm the punch line......

There She Is......

She sees the world through painted eyes
And it always seems to me
I'll never truly understand
All the beauty that she sees
She'll try and try to explain to me
Things like "blue sky with oranges days"
And I'll try so hard to pay attention
To everything she says
Yet listening won't compare
So I'll pour gallons and gallons
Of multicolored paints right into my eyes
But I'll never see things the way she does
Through her beautiful mind
